How to start, develop, and complete a landscape painting.

Working from your own observation, sketches, and photos, you will create an acrylic painting on canvas using a layered glazing method. Covered areas include concept sketches, underpainting development, and building spatial illusion through layered glazes of acrylic paint. Composition will remain an important focus throughout all steps. This class will encourage review and discussion both during development and after completion.

The goal is to have two completed paintings after the six-week class duration. You are encouraged to work outside of class time to enhance your experience and learning.
