About the instructor:

Brittani Locke is a surface designer who employs the technique of marbling as a decorative application. Brittani loves to experiment with color and pattern by manipulating fluid paint with intricate combs. She has been studying traditional techniques for 15 years from knowledge that has been passed down to her from world masters who employ century old techniques.

The art of marbling offers many refined styles developed over time in Japan, China, Turkey and all along the Silk Road. It is also referred to as Ebru, Abri and Suminagashi. Brittani enjoys to apply unique hand-marbled designs on fabric, paper, and canvas. Each piece receives an unrepeatable marbled pattern. The play between color and pattern offers an endless resource of inspiration.
