In this 4-week class, portrait artist, Nicole Troup, will teach students how to paint the anatomy of the eyes, nose, and mouth in oil. Each class session will begin with a demonstration of a particular facial feature using proper technique and edges, skin tone mixing, materials, and a discussion of the anatomy.  Students will then paint the facial features in various positions- straightforward, 3/4 view, and in profile. This class will be very beneficial for students who struggle to create accurate facial anatomy, skin color, and realism in their portraits.

About the Instructor:

Nicole Troup resides in Greencastle, PA working as a commissioned portrait artist for local and national clients. A few of her clients include the VFW, corporations, hospitals, and WWE wrestler Titus O’Neil, among others. She has also collaborated with former Pennsylvania Governor, Thomas Corbett to paint his portrait in 2015. Her work is in private collections in the United States, Canada, and Great Britain and she has won several awards in national competitions including the Portrait Society of America.

Times: 6:30pm-9pm

Cost: $145 + $135 supply kit (supplies may be purchased separately)
